1959 - enrolled at Georgia Tech following Paxon high school graduation

1962 - married high school sweetheart ( Sandra Lee Oppenheimer - class of 1960 )

bullet

Dec 13, 1963 -  I graduated from Tech at one o'clock  with a degree in Building Construction. Sandra delivered a baby girl at three o'clock

bullet

Commissioned as Second Lieutenant in U. S. Army Corps of Engineers - Ft. Belvoir, Va.

bullet

1965 - assigned to 79th Engineer Battalion, Pirmasens, Germany, as Platoon Leader. Involved in numerous construction projects throughout Europe ( Germany, Italy, France and Turkey ) while in this position

1966 - reassigned to Ft. Belvoir as Company Commander and Senior Tactical Officer at Engineer Officer Candidate School. Promoted to Captain.

1967 - volunteered for service in Vietnam ( was going to happen anyway ), and was assigned as Company Commander in 87th Engineer Battalion headquartered at Cam Rahn Bay. We were responsible for keeping main north-south route open from Phan Rang to the south to Nha Trang in the north.

Resigned my Commission and returned to States.

1968 - 70   moved back to Jacksonville and worked as Project Manager for Preston Haskell Company

bullet

1971 - offered position as Southeast Regional Vice President of a subsidiary of The Charter Company (Jacksonville). Moved to Atlanta.

bullet

1986 - purchased local assets of Charter Company and incorporated San/Dall Group, Inc. Primarily involved in land development, custom homebuilding, asbestos abatement, and commercial construction.

Currently semi-retired (fighting it every step of the way), but enjoying the hell out of my 6 grandsons.
